Wednesday 20th May
On Wednesday we visited Warwick Castle for the day. Two coaches took us there for opening time and once we passed through the ticket barrier we split up into smaller groups. Everyone had a timetable of the day's events and we enjoyed watching the trebuchet being fired, the birds of prey show and watching the bowman fire arrows. Then it was time to enter the live action Dungeon experience!!! Most completed the visit and bravely came through, but some left the experience at various points.
Thursday 21st May
Thursday morning was our Sports morning. Adriano was on hand again and all the school took part in a range of sports activities and games. The weather was glorious and everyone took an active part. The morning ended with some traditional races and year group relays. Finally, the Comenius teachers took part in their own relay race and were cheered on by the whole school.
For lunch the teachers had a Mordiford school dinner - roast chicken.
After lunch we all got together for a last time ninth hall where Year 5 shared their Romeo and Juliet play and Oliver sang beautifully for us. Our 2 Spanish visiting pupils also entertained us with some Flamenco dancing and Baton Twirling.
Our visitors were presented with a gift of a ceramic apple as a memory of their time in Herefordshire.
The pupils spent the final afternoon playing a range of games and making a joint piece of artwork which will hang in school as a memory of the week.
For the last evening the host families and pupils went bowling and the teachers had a tour around Westons Cider factory with a meal afterwards.

Friday 22nd & Saturday 23rd May
Today we said goodbye to the majority of our guests as they travelled back to their homes and families. Mrs Broadbridge took the Spanish teachers to Bath for the day where we visited the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and The Royal Crescent.
The Spanish visitors then left to fly home on the Saturday morning.
It was a very busy week for everyone but it was also amazing and many lasting memories and friendships were made.
